KOA BISTRO MENU

Our menu comprises of true Hawaiian flair. With various high quality proteins such as Salmon or Tuna Poke, Grilled Chicken, Salmon in coconut sauce Or Mochico Tempeh, accompanied with fresh vegetables and served over aromatic basmati rice, you better get ready for a treat. Everything is cooked fresh right in front of you. Since our kitchen and storage is extremely small, we get fresh deliveries daily which also makes sure our food can maintain its high standards. We offer both Vegan and non-vegan options. We try to limit the use of Gluten, and other allergy causing ingredients such as peanuts. If you have any special dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Tempeh Poke Oahu Style 7.50

Poke which in Hawaiian means to cut in cubes has found its way to our hearts through tempeh. Using sweet ginger, perfectly toasted black and white sesame seeds, young green onions and 100% pure roasted sesame seed oil, we create an elegant vegan dish. The KOA tempeh poke!

Udon was introduced in Hawaii by the Japanese. It is a great dish and a fantastic broth makes this a perfect winter meal. Mochico Tempeh 7.50

Who doesn't love a good serving of high quality tempeh. Coated with mochico and turmeric then seared in a pan with Alaea Hawaiian red sea salt. Served with a coconut citrus sauce and a good helping of fresh vegetables. Vegan dishes just took a new turn.

Kahuku Vegi balls 6.90

We really need to figure out a nicer name for this, VEGAN meatballs just sounds plain old silly. However, these lentil, chickpeas, carrots and other veggies combined is soaking in a mango pineapple sauce. It is our version of an island classic sweet and sour sauce. It is not spicy, neither too sweet nor too sour. We bet our balls on this one.

Fresh Atlantic Salmon seasoned and grilled to perfection. We tend to cook our fish just perfect with a pink center, however if you like it well done, please let us know. A zesty coconut and citrus sauce and trio of julien paprika accompanies the salmon. A true delight for fish lovers.

Tuna Teppan 8.50

We absolutely recommend our tuna poke. However, we also understand not everyone loves raw fish, thus we have a seared tuna steak that is served with fresh mango, papaya salsa along with a soy, honey and ginger dressing over the aromatic basmati rice. Big Wave Golden Ale

A lighter-bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor—smooth, easy drinking, and refreshing. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer, and our special blend of hops provides a bright, quenching finish that makes it a struggle to not grab another one.

Longboard Island Lager 4.6%

A crisp, pale-gold lager made with choice malts and aromatic hops, brewed in a traditional lager style. It’s a smooth and easygoing beer that never goes out of style—ever.

Fire Rock Pale Ale 5.8%

is a copper-colored ale made from roasted malts and a selection of premium hops. With a Hawaiian style all its own, Fire Rock is smooth, yet bold in both flavor and aroma.

Gold Cliff IPA

This amazing beer features real pineapple, along with bright, tropical fruit aromas of Mosaic and Citra hops and a hint of smooth caramel malt.

Hanalei Island Ale

An easy-drinking, sessionable beer that combines the hoppy aroma of an IPA with a tropical Hawaiian twist. Passionfruit, orange and guava balance the hops to deliver a coppery, session-style ale that reflects the flavors and spirit of the islands.

Brewdog Nanny State (Alcohol free) 0.5%

Nanny State breaks the curfew and slips under the radar. A brigade of speciality malts and North American hops sends bitterness to the brink and back. Squeezing this many hops in, and the alcohol out, is a testament to the Brewdog craft.

Brewdog Vagabond (Gluten free) 4.5%

This beer has locked all the flavour in and locked the gluten out. Citrus and tropical fruit flavours meld with a light caramel malt base,giving way to a riot of resinous bitterness. Brewed with 100% malted barley and American hops, Vagabond is missing only one thing - gluten.


White wines

Sauvignion

The perfect Sauvignion can never be created but we can only seek perfection from this amazing wine. Sourced from the winery of the Plibersek family in the Svecina wine region of Maribor. You will be delighted to sip this wine.

Resnki Rizling

Coming from the home of the worlds oldest vine from Maribor. This rizling has seen more of the worlds history than we have. Originally from Germany this sort of wine grapes made their way to Slovenias North east region. The wine is refreshing and enjoyable anytime.

Red wines

Teran

Teran PTP has an intensive ruby colour due to the 100% Refosk grapes used in making it. Obvious fruity aromas with a strong raspberry and blackberry undertone. This dry wine has a full bodied fruity flavour and pleasant acids, both being its most distinctive characteristics. The taste of raspberry and wild berries is also predominant on the palate.

Pinot Noir

Maceration on grape skins proceeds in the first 18 days and is followed by controlled fermentation at 18°C in classic wooden barrels, where it matures for 18 months. Pinot noir is produced only from the best vintages. Style, accuracy and its audacity are all on display with this still classic. Pinot noir has a characteristic ruby colour. Aromas are refined and unmistakable. Gentle notes of cherries, dry plumbs and leather always come to mind.
